Business Administration Careers

A business administration major can expect to move into a variety of careers, limited only by the courses and emphasis areas chosen. Students with this degree are often considered "generalists" with broad interests. This might include management trainee, restaurant management, manager at an automobile dealership, recreation management, sales, home contracting, supervisor, small business owner, and more.

For a career in which greater job qualifications are necessary, business administration majors often convert one emphasis area into a minor or even a double major. Minors are available in most business disciplines by taking two to four additional classes beyond the two emphasis courses in that emphasis area. Minors are not required to earn the business administration degree.
