From the Dean
On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Scott College of Business, I want to extend sincere congratulations to the 2019 business graduates. You should reflect on the effort and sacrifice that has led to this day and be proud of your accomplishment. I know we are all so proud of you.
As you move past this day, I want you to pull from your Indiana State experiences and be confident that you have the knowledge and skills to tackle today’s business problems. Our faculty, staff, and numerous advisory boards have worked meticulously to develop business curricula and developmental programs that will put you among the most skilled graduates anywhere. Just this semester, our accreditation was reaffirmed by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). AACSB accreditation is the “gold standard” by which business schools are judged, and we are one of only five percent of business schools worldwide to achieve this distinction. Also, you have engaged in a number of activities outside of your classes that have contributed to your experiential learning. Whether you attended workshops in the Meis Student Development Center or worked on projects that engaged the business community, you have been afforded many opportunities to develop your business savvy. Be assured, your business training is something special!
As you progress in your careers, walk with humility, lead with integrity, be disciplined, and find ways to serve others. Also, don’t forget about us! We are interested in knowing how you are doing. Keep us updated on your achievements and let us know if you have an interest in working with the Scott College to assist in the development of future Sycamore business men and women. Again, congratulations on your accomplishment. Walk proudly as Scott College graduates.

Commencement Notes
The Scott College of Business Commencement will begin at the Hulman Center with the processional at 9:45 am followed by ceremony at 10:00 am.
The Scott College of Business will hold its post-commencement reception to honor our graduates and families on Saturday, May 11, 2019 , 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm in the Magna Carta Room (Room 223) of Federal Hall.
