Joe Kinahan

Joe KinahanJoe Kinahan (JJ), Chief Derivatives Strategist for TD Ameritrade, began his career as a Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) market maker in 1985, trading primarily in the S&P 100 (OEX) and S&P 500 (SPX) pits. While mainly an independent market maker, he also worked for ING Bank, Blue Capital and was Managing Director of Option Trading for Van Der Moolen, USA. In 2006, Kinahan joined the thinkorswim Group, which was eventually acquired by TD Ameritrade. After leading the Educational Events Team, serving to implement the instructional path for thousands of investors throughout the United States, in 2009 he became the Managing Director of Autotrade, overseeing TD Ameritrade’s Autotrade services, as well as the firm’s registered investment advisory firm RED Option and the integration of the thinkpipes trading platform.

Kinahan, a 2-year trading veteran, is a frequent guest on CNBC and is often quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Reuters News, along with many other respected media outlets. He is also a member of the Board of Directors at NYSE ARCA and is a member of the Arbitration Committee at the CBOE.

Randy Minas

Randy MinasRandy Minas is a Financial Advisor and Senior Vice President at City Securities Corporation. Randy holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and has been in the financial services industry for over 37 years. Randy graduated cum laude from Indiana State in 1975 with a degree in management and a minor in accounting. He now serves the university as the President of the Board of Trustees. Through generous donations he and his wife, Nancy, created a foundation which has established the Randall and Nancy Minas Financial Trading Room at the university's college of business.
 

Christopher A. Wolking

Christopher A. WolkingChristopher A. Wolking is Chief Financial Officer for Old National Bancorp and a member of its Executive Leadership Group. He had been treasurer of Old National since 1999, was promoted to senior vice president in 2001 and to Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President in January 2005.

Wolking joined Old National with 11 years of experience in various roles in the treasury and wealth management units of Old Kent Financial Corporation. Prior to joining Old Kent, Wolking was the manager of treasury operations at First National Bank of Tulsa. He began his career as a consultant with the accounting firm, Arthur Andersen and Co., in 1982. Wolking is a 1982 graduate of the University of Tulsa with degrees in finance and economics. He obtained his MBA in 1993 from Western Michigan University. Wolking is currently serving on the board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank, Indianapolis.

Wolking’s civic and volunteer activities include serving as President of the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra board of directors. Wolking is the past president of the Reitz Memorial Catholic High School board of trustees, past president of the board of advisors of Catholic Charities of Evansville, served as corporate chairperson of the Southwestern Indiana Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 2008 Walk and also served as a board member of the Memorial Friends and Alumni Association.

Brian Cain

Brian CainBrian Cain is a Financial Advisor through LPL Financial with Old National Investments here in Terre Haute. After college he worked in St. Louis Missouri at the headquarters of Edward D. Jones and Company. While at Edward Jones he set numerous sales records as a member of the company’s "PASS Program." He and his wife, Monica, moved back to Champaign Illinois where he opened an office for Stifel, Nicholaus and Co. as an Investment Representative.

Ten years ago he joined Old National Investments where he currently manages over $100 million in client assets covering Terre Haute, Clinton and Rockville. Brian has earned recognition both within Old National and LPL Financial as a member of the company's Directors Club.

Buff Dormeier

Buff is also a published author through one of the world’s top publishers Wharton Pearson. Buff received the 2007 Charles Dow Award, which recognizes research papers breaking new ground or which make innovative use of established techniques in the field of technical analysis. The Charles H. Dow Award is considered one of the most important recognitions in the field of technical analysis. Buff is a double major graduate of Indiana State University participating in both varsity track and cross country as a student athlete.

Donald B. Edwards

Don EdwardsDon Edwards, MBA, CFA, is President and Chief Investment Officer of Wabash Capital, Inc., which he co-founded in 1997. He chairs the Wabash Capital Investment Committee with chief responsibility for defining the investment strategies for clients and implementing the fiduciary investment process for corporate retirement plans.

Don is a member of the CFA Institute and the Indianapolis Society of Financial Analysts, and annually serves as an exam grader for the CFA exam. He received his B.S. in Finance and MBA degrees from Indiana State University, and received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1997.

Robert J. Edwards

Rob EdwardsRob Edwards, CFA, joined Valeo Financial Advisors in 2008 and currently serves on Valeo’s Investment Committee. Rob works out of the Indianapolis office, and he helps service northern and eastern Illinois, western Indiana, and the Michigan region.

Rob graduated with a BS and an MBA from the Indiana State University Scott College of Business. Rob earned his CFA charter in 2005 and served as a board member of the CFA Society of Indianapolis. In addition to teaching as an adjunct professor for the Indiana State University Scott College of Business, Rob spent time as a Regional Director of Portfolio Management for Old National Trust Company and was responsible for overseeing the management for over $500,000,000. He worked with high net worth individuals, retirement plans, foundations and endowments. In 2006, Rob was appointed to Old National Trust Company’s Senior Management team and was asked to create and manage the newly acquired northern Indiana region. Rob serves as a member of the Saint Maria Goretti Finance Council, and resides in Noblesville with his wife Amy and their three children, Brayden, Chandler and Foster.

Mahmoud M. Haddad

Mahmoud M. HaddadDr. Mahmoud M. Haddad is a professor of Finance at the college of Business and Global Affairs, The University of Tennessee at Martin. He received a BA and MBA in Accounting from Minnesota State University, and Ph.D. in Finance from The University of Alabama. He taught finance at Wayne State University, The University of Tennessee at Martin, University of Alabama, Arab American University-Jenin, American University of Armenia, American University of Beirut, Al-Quds university, Eastern Michigan University and Minnesota State University. Dr. Haddad is certified in e-teaching and learning, he has broad experience in Distant and Online teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Dr. Haddad has published over 30 papers. His papers have been published in leading refereed journals. Dr. Haddad was the Financial and Accounting Manager at the American Family Insurance Co., the Executive Director of Research at the Palestinian Monetary Authority, the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs and Dean of College of Business and Financial Sciences at Arab American University and a Research Scholar and Head of Economic and Social Studies Division at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research. He is the co-director of the UTM Tennessee Valley Authority Investment Challenge program and a UDAID visiting scholar and senior financial education consultant.

Kyle Klepsch

Kyle KlepschKyle Klepsch is a financial advisor at City Securities Corporation. Kyle is a member of the group headed by today's key note speaker, Randy Minas, and began his career in the financial services industry in 2007.

Kyle graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor's degree in 2001 and in 2005 he earned his law degree from Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis. Kyle works directly with Dr. Tarek Zaher and the students of Indiana State's student managed investment fund on the investments in their portfolio.
 

Kim La Grange

Kim  LaGrangeKimberly Hendricks La Grange is a management instructor in the Scott College of Business at Indiana State University. Kim is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources and the Principal Consultant with Prime Resources, LLC, a human resources consulting firm specializing in organizational development and employee training. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree and has over twenty years of experience in human resources management. In her corporate experience, Kim has held executive positions responsible for all phases of human resources, including compensation, employee benefits, management development, employee recruitment and selection, employee relations, and training.

Kim is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and has served as the College Relations Director on the Executive Board of the Indiana State Council of SHRM and as President of the Wabash Valley Human Resources Association. Additionally, she has spoken about various human resources issues at local and regional conferences and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, St. Mary-of-the-Woods College and Ivy Tech State College.

Barbara MacLeod

Barbara MacLeodBarbara MacLeod, CFA. John J. Joseph Professor of Economics and Chair, Department of Economics at Ohio Wesleyan University. After a career in corporate finance, banking and investments, MacLeod now teaches courses in finance, international business and strategic planning and is faculty advisor to the OWU Investment Club. For several years MacLeod helped to design the curriculum used in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program and was a grader of the CFA exams. She continues to work as a consultant, helping companies develop financial and strategic initiatives. In her free time MacLeod enjoys cycling, reading, and playing tennis.

Sharon L. Robinson

Sharon RobinsonSharon Robinson, is a finance instructor at the Scott College of Business at Indiana State University. She is a Certified Financial Planner professional and educational consultant in private practice. Sharon has prior experience as an investment analyst with a private practice financial planner in Madison, WI and underwriting analyst with Blue Cross of Northwest Ohio (now BCBSO). In addition to her role as instructor, she has worked with ISU Scott College of Business as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Student Services and with Texas Tech University as a program manager and educational consultant.

Sharon received her BBA-Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and MBA from the University of Wisconsin –Whitewater. She is a member of Financial Planning Association – Greater Indiana.

Mary Ryan

Mary RyanMary Ryan started with thinkorswim in 2006 and has held many ever challenging roles over the years. Her diversity of positions started on the customer service support team. She then worked in the forex department before becoming a broker on our trade desk. After the acquisition of thinkorswim by TD Ameritrade, Mary held a variety of roles involving customer education events and development. She is currently leading TD Ameritrade’s University Program development and manages a variety of trading related partnerships and initiatives.
 

Shawn Sabau

Shawn SabauShawn Sabau is a Financial Advisor at City Securities Corporation. He holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Shawn is a senior partner of the Minas Sabau Group and has been in the financial services industry for over 15 years. Shawn graduated from Purdue University Calumet in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in business management with a minor in finance. Shawn works extensively with clients on financial planning and has a broad scope of knowledge ranging from bond purchases to options strategies. 
 

Brien Smith

Brien SmithBrien Smith is the dean of the Scott College of Business at Indiana State University. Dr. Smith has over twenty years of administrative experience in higher education, and has been dean of the Scott College since July of 2012.

Previously, Dr. Smith was associate dean for the Miller College of Business at Ball State University and has previously served as the chair for the Department of Marketing and Management, assistant to the dean for graduate programs, and vice chairperson of the Department of Management. He attained his PhD in industrial/organizational psychology in 1989 from Auburn University.

In his 20 years of leadership experience in higher education, Dr. Smith has actively participated in university governance, having served as senate chair (twice) and faculty council chair in the Ball State University Senate. He has published numerous articles in refereed proceedings and journals, and has delivered presentations and speeches at national and international conferences. He is a coauthor of the current Ball State University Senate Constitution (Senate Reorganization Committee), teaches courses in human resource management, and was named the 1994-1995 Ball State University Teaching Professor (now known as the Excellence in Teaching Award).

Brian Wright

Brian WrightBrian Wright is a financial planner at Market Street Wealth Management Advisors, LLC and Career Paths Director & Pro-Bono Director for the Financial Planning Association of Greater Indiana. As a Financial Planner, Brian develops and presents financial plans as well as implements and monitors client recommendations. He also assists in investment research and analysis for the firm.

Brian has earned the Certified Financial Planner certification and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary professional designation. Prior to joining MSWMA, he worked for Hufford Financial Advisors and JPMorgan Chase & Co. He earned his MBA from Anderson University and a BS in Business Administration with a Minor in Economics from Indiana State University. Brian currently serves on the Board of Directors for the FPA of Greater Indiana.

Tarek Zaher

Tarek ZaherTarek Zaher is a professor of Finance at Indiana State University. He has also held a number of professional positions with the industry and provided consulting services to a number of international institutions including the World Bank, the William Davidson Institute at the University of Michigan, and the Academy for Educational Development in the United States and the Ministry of Work in Dubai. He has also offered a number of seminars in investment and international financial management at a number of institutions around the world.

Dr. Zaher is the supervisor of the investment club at Indiana State University. He also manages and supervises other international portfolios for individuals and institutions. Dr. Zaher’s research has been published in numerous prestigious professional and scholarly journals, including the Journal of Financial Research and Journal of Banking and Finance. Dr. Zaher received three research awards from professional conferences and one research certificate of excellence. He was also recognized by the Scott College of Business as the winner of the faculty research award in 2002 and the winner of the exemplary service award in 2004.
