Criteria

  • Scholarship for insurance and risk management major or minor with a career interest in retail sales (agency) and marketing.

Donor Profile

The JOHN J. SCHIFF MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP was established through the Community Foundation Alliance, Inc., and the Knox County Community Foundation by the agents of Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky and the officers of the Cincinnati Insurance Companies in memory of Mr. Schiff. John J. Schiff was one of the founders of Cincinnati Insurance Company in 1950. He was an agent first and foremost and worked daily in the Schiff Insurance Agency while also running the Cincinnati Insurance Company as President and CEO. Mr. Schiff was a champion of education for agents and staff alike believing that they carried the company and were responsible for its success and failure.
