Criteria

Recipient will be an outstanding junior or senior Accounting major with academic excellence, active involvement in student organizations concerned with accounting or business, and an expressed career interest in managerial accounting.

Donor Profile

The Lane Scholarship was established by friends of the Accounting Department to honor professor emeritus of business, Dr. James Edward Lane. Dr. Lane served the college from 1957 until 1992 and was the first chairman of the Accounting Department when it was formed in 1969. He passed away on May 18, 2007 in Terre Haute.
